Arizona Mortgage License Applications

Application for all of the four mortgage license types — Mortgage Broker, Mortgage Banker, Commercial Mortgage Broker and Commercial Mortgage Banker – is made through two concurrent processes:

(1)       an application submitted online through the NMLS (the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry); and

(2)       a completed written application submitted to the Arizona regulator, the Arizona Department of Financial Institutions (AZDFI) which can be submitted via the AZDFI’s encrypted email service.  This written application is titled an “AZDFI Checklist.”
